Thankful Heart
​
This is what is on my heart and mind this morning. Last week was the first Book Event for An Uncertain Life: Growing up Gay and Southern Baptist. We had just shy of 60 people signed up and somewhere between 45-55 showed up (official # 48). I am thankful for the Social Justice Ministry at Pass-a-Grille Beach Community Church, UCC that came out in full force, making soups, baking cookies and being in attendance! Sally, Dawn, Judith, Carol, and Barb really came through in a big way.

Then, we had guests from King of Peace MCC and Lakewood UCC, who joined us. The audience had thought provoking questions, which were terrific because people were engaged in serious conversations.

Now my hope is that those in attendance will take the time to write reviews on Amazon, B&N, and Goodreads, as that is how a new author gets noticed. And from that, the book will end up in the hands of people struggling with self-acceptance and come to realize that God loves them. This idea of God's love revolutionized my life.
